Alkoomi
Licence No: 618003212
Merv and Judy Lange are pioneers of the wine industry in the Frankland River district. They planted their first vines in 1971 – Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Malbec – and produced their first wines in 1976.
Today, Alkoomi is one of the largest family-owned wine producers in Western Australia. The Lange’s son Wayne, daughter Sandy, and extended family members are all actively involved in the business.
The Alkoomi vineyards and winery share similar climatic conditions to those found in Bordeaux, France thus it is not surprising that Alkoomi produces some of the finest wines made in Australia.
The name Alkoomi is taken from a local aboriginal dialect and translated means "a place we chose".
The Alkoomi logo is a stylised representation of an Australian grass tree which grows in the area.
Alkoomi’s red wines enjoyed success early on and Alkoomi has continued to produce elegant cabernet, shiraz and cabernet blends. The quality of Alkoomi Riesling has helped establish the reputation of Frankland River as one of the best areas for this variety in Australia and the Sauvignon Blanc is also regarded as one of the best in the country.
The consistently superb varietal flavours across a wide range of Alkoomi wines have been recognised by the doyen of Australian wine writers, James Halliday, awarding Alkoomi a five star rating in his “Guide to the wines of Australia”.
Alkoomi’s annual production of about 80,000 cases is distributed to all parts of Australia and is exported to more than ten countries in Europe, North America and Asia.

Ballast Stone Estate
Licence No: 50806286
The Shaw family were grape growers for 25 years in McClaren Vale in SA before deciding to to also establish a large 250ha vineyard in Currency Creek, approximately 80km south of Adelaide. They were meticulous with their vineyard site selection and chose to locate in two renowned South Australia wine-grape growing districts, McLaren Vale and Currency Creek, approximately 80km south of Adelaide. The most modern viticultural technologies are combined with time proven, and arguably, an old fashioned hands-on management approach to producing grapes that optimize fruit flavour. It is essential for great wine production that the winemaker and the grapegrower 'connect' to ensure grapes are delivered to the winery at the moment of optimized fruit ripeness. Shaw family ownership of both the vineyards and winery all under a single management structure ensures only wines of exquisite quality and full flavour are produced for global wine markets. The winemaker is John Loxton who is well known as the man who won 'best red' the London International Wine Challenge in 1997. As Maglieri's chief winemaker, John produced a string of medal winning wines before bringing his winemaking prowess to Ballast Stone. He's won hundreds of medals and trophies for his wines.

Hesketh
Licence No: 50813055
The Hesketh Wine Company Pty Ltd is a small, family owned, Adelaide based producer of high quality wines that reflect the best wine styles from the best regions - wherever that may be, anywhere in the world.
We believe the world is a small place and that our approach to fruit sourcing need not be governed by bygone eras.
Each wine is vineyard-specific, made with fastidious attention to detail, and to a style that we believe reflects what each region excels at.
Quite simply, we want anyone who imbibes our wines to be safe in the knowledge that each one of them is the best possible example of what each region is capable of producing.
We have begun relatively close to home with wines from McLaren Vale and the Barossa Valley in South Australia, as well as Marlborough in New Zealand. But this will soon extend to regions in Europe and beyond.

Tamburlaine
Licence No: 701120
TAMBURLAINE IS AUSTRALIA’S LARGEST PRODUCER OF CERTIFIED ORGANIC WINE
Our Hunter Valley winery grows organically-certified fruit from our own mature vineyards in the Hunter Valley and our high altitude property in Orange, NSW. The company produces a range of regionally-distinctive warm and cool climate wines which reflect the health and vitality of the vines. The winery is rated 5 stars by James Halliday and the Semillon was ranked as the top 2007 Semillon in his 2009 edition. The 2007 Members Orange Reserve Riesling has also been awarded amongst the top 40 wines of NSW.
The Hunter Valley winery was established in 1966. The name ‘Tamburlaine’ is the anglicised version of ‘Timur’ who led the Mongols during the time the Mongolian Empire was at its largest, between 1336 and 1405. ‘Timur’ was immortalised by English playwright Christopher Marlow who wrote ‘Tamburlaine the Great’ in 1590. Like Tamburlaine, the winery is going from strength to strength.
Today Tamburlaine produces between 70,000 – 100,000 cases of wine from around 110 ha of organically certified vineyards. Most the production is sold directly through the cellar door and directly to members through its unique membership program. A smaller proportion is sold to NSW and QLD wholesale buyers and exported to the US, the UK, Nepal, Rep of Korea, Japan, Sweden, and Denmark. Mark Davidson and Patrick Moore head the wine making team.

Tyrrell's
Licence No: 356529
2008 marked the 150th anniversary of the Tyrrell family’s arrival in Pokolbin to commence its future in the Australian wine industry. 150 years of one family with a constant base and industry in which it operates is a rarity in the country.
"We Tyrrell's have been on our vineyard for two thirds of Australia’s modern history. The motto of ‘nothing is great unless it is good’ came with my great grandfather from England and has been a guiding beacon for the family through the 150 years. It has been and will be the basis of all we do."
"We have passed many milestones along the way, with the past 50 years contributing the most. The introduction of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to the modern Australian industry, our expansion outside our beloved Hunter Valley to McLaren Vale, Limestone Coast and Heathcote, and the championing of the Semillon variety from the Hunter are, to me, the outstanding achivements."
"The continuation of Tyrrell’s Wines as a family business for another 150 years, at least, is my greatest dream. With an eye toward the future, we will continue to create individual wines of character, flavour and above all, integrity."
M. Bruce Tyrrell AM Managing Director
