About Bright SmilesWho's behind it?The program has been made possible thanks to sponsorship from Colgate, whose commitment to public dental health has underpinned the initiative. Colgate-Palmolive is a consumer products company specialising in a number of areas, including oral health care. Its vision in oral care is to care for the health and well-being of every mouth, everyday. It strives to constantly improve and innovate to provide the best performance and experience for its consumers, so that they can look and feel their best everyday. The Bright Smiles roll-out has been made possible by sponsorship from Colgate, who were eager to partner on a program designed to deliver dental health care where it is needed most. The initiative is being organised by Colgate in partnership with Jon Dee, social change campaigner. Woman's Day magazine, the highest selling weekly magazine in Australia, has come on board as official media partner, helping to raise awareness of the issue of dental care for kids, and to spread the prevention message to its millions of readers. Dental Care Network, which has 40 dental surgeries across the country, is the first network to support the program by encouraging its practitioners to join up and provide free dental treatment for kids in the program. |
