Over the years I've worked in Melbourne, Dublin, Sydney, and occasionally, London, with the odd piece of New Zealand thrown in by way of email. I've spent time in advertising agencies, children's television, retail packaging, and most recently in a number of public relations companies addressing their clients' design needs, together with directing the company's various in-house design requirements.

The great thing about all of this diversity is that I've worked on - and have come to love - the little brands just as much as the big ones. Both are great; both I like. And if they're a startup, that's even better. The size of the budget doesn't matter if you allow yourself to think big.

I'm just as happy to work in a team (I play well with others) as I am to work on my own. I love working with clients who have a great story to tell, a great product or a great idea. And I enjoy learning something new about a different industry, or a different product, whenever a new client walks in the door (I never thought I would know so much about blinds, burgers or backup systems).

If you do happen to meet me for coffee, you might find out a bit more than anyone needs to know about the world of fungi, cheese making, or where to find the best pint of Guinness.
